Auto Combine multiple excel data files retaining the top header row from each file

Hi,

Hope you are all well.

We have a project where we need to combine various different excel data files into x1 merged file, but retain the first header row from each file within the new merged file - is this possible? (I've used the power query editor to combine the files, but it seems to lose the header record).

In addition, is there a way of setting up some kind of automation macro / hot folder to trigger this process?
