In the attached file the formulas in column L are not working as I intend. should the end time from column E go past 22:00hrs it will calculate the number of hours for night premiums. However the formula isn't working if the "start" time falls within the night premiums time slot. So if the start time is 05:00 it should show 1 hour in column L.
I can manipulate the formula to work by putting a time in cell in b7 that is 00:00 or greater however would prefer to keep as 22:00 if possible. any help greatly appreciated

Assuming that J13:K13 are calculating correctly it would seem that L13 could be populated using: =F13*24-SUM(J13:K13)
Note that you may either set the formatting to General or Number with no decimal places.
