Hyperlink base - sharing problem

I have my excel file under a directory with various sub directories.
There are links in alot of the cells, and hence, when I change my file location, I still can manipulate the links by using file properties/hyperlink base: C:/DIRECTORY/ for example

However, when i share the directory with my files in a network, the links become inaccessible. any idea how to manipulate the links accessible for the shared users?
