    Make pictures go behind cells.

I would like to know how i can put a picture behind my cells in excel. i have
washed out the picture so its very pale but i would like to somehow set the
picture back so that cells can be seen and changed etc. (bit complicated, but
very simple really if i only knew how to do it if its possible).
Any suggestions at all would be VERY helpful and appreciated.

    Thanks

Are you trying to make set a background image on your spreadsheet?

If so, try Format | Sheet | Background

    then select your image.

If you mean as background? Format>sheet>background
    Maybe this will help

Thanks for that! Do you know how to control which cells the background go
into? ie shrink picture. And so it doesnt repeat itself over and over.

If you want just text, use Word Art. Then you can ajust the shade, transparency, and size to fit wherever you like. If it is an image, you can use one of Microsofts pre-made pictures. If you want to use one from your files, you may be out of luck.

Also look on google for "watermarks in excel files". You may get some ideas.
    Hope this helps,
    Michael
