    Currency Cell setup

    Just a quick question...

I have a value of 12.50 in cell d8, and £ in cell c3 and I am using the simple formula as below in cell e20

    ="c3"&"d8"

But by using this e20 now reads '£12.5' and not £12.50 as I require.

this is only a problem if the units value is zero.

    Can anyone help please.

    Thanks in advance.

If D8 was formatted as Currency the 12.50 would show as £12.50. I don't understand why you have a separate pound (£) sign in cell c3?

This is so cell three can be changed from £ to € or $.

I know this can be done using cell format but I want to change it with out ever looking at that page.

(all the data in each cell take data from a different sheet)

The only way I know is to put =C3&D8 (without quotation marks) in E20.
Format D8 as TEXT. This will give you £12.50 in E20.
