Enter in cells B1:J1 the numbers 1 - 9
Enter in Cells A2:A10 the numbers 1 -9 again
In cell B2 enter the formula =B1*A2
In cell C2 enter the formula =C1*A2 and so on through J2
In cell B3 enter the formula =B1*A3 and so on through J3
Repeat for each row through A10
Is this what you had in mind?

An easier method will be to enter just one formulaOriginally Posted by swatsp0p
=B$1*$A2
in Cell B2. From here, all you have to do is drag this to the right until cell J2 and copy down to Cell A10 and you already have a multiplication table.
Of course, you can always extend your multiplication table to any number of columns and rows by just dragging your formula to the right and/or down.
Hope this is what you are looking for.

Thanks Both of you for your help I've gone with the easier method of just one formula. But thanks to both of you.
