Is there somthing in Excel that gives a cleaner look to a spreadsheet?
I have a file that jumps around within itself and performs calculations and so on.
Trouble is it looks messy and I'd like to give it a cleaner/professional look.
Cheers all

Deana, you can either goto FORMAT>SHEET>BACKGROUND
You can choose a background image from there, or alternatively. Quite a good way to clean it up is taking a bit of time to set the fill colour on the cells to white and put various borders around the parts that you want to make stand out. you can get it looking very neat like that.
hope that helps.
When I say "jumps around" I mean that you would add information then click
a button that will take you to another sheet and so on. So it works just as I want it to but is not very polished. I have been told that you can have a Macro do a lot of work for you. How true that is I don't know.
Thanks again.

you can move around in any sheet by using hyperlinks. very easy to use too. Just Select the cell where you initially want to click to go somewhere else, right-click and select hyperlink.
On the box that comes up, select "Place in exsisting document" on the left then type in the cell refrence i.e. A1 etc where you want to end up when you click the cell.
you can also link to other documents & sheets like this.
is that what you meant?
I can do all the moving around and all my cells work no problem.
I just want to make it look cleaner, a more professional look lets say.
A good way then Deana is to just white out most of the spreadsheet that you will see when you move around by just filling the cells white and then using borders around the cells or collections of cells to make areas stand out, or use different coloured backgrounds for it..
