Now they only want to round up!

    Hi there

Tony helped me with the underlying function and I got all that working - now the 'powers that be' have decided that they only want to round UP to the nearest quarter hour, not up and down - any more ideas please - thanks - Julia:

You got there with the ...

On an A1 time of 02:51
    The MOD function gives 0.114583333

All you have to do is format you result (0.114583333) as a time (mm:ss).
    It shows as 02:45.

As for 0.01041666 being 15 minutes. This is 1 (day) divided by 24 (hours), divided by 4 (quarters).
0.25 (to Excel) would be 6 hours (quarter of 1 day).

    Hope this helps.
    Tony

    I've got it!

Hi I've been fiddling and have a solution - thought I would post it in case it helps anyone:

    =CEILING((A1),0.01041666 )

Where cell A1 is the cell with the totalled times in it, and the decimal is Tony's 15 minutes.

    Well it works for me!
