Drop-Down-Menue

Hello everyone,

how do you create a drop-down menue in a specific cell in Excel?

I refer to those kind of drop-down menues, that are commonly used on many
web-pages,
where you can choose between different pre-given alternatives.

Hi Aris

Inside a cell it's done with Data validation. See
http://www.contextures.com/xlDataVal01.html
on this.

There are also combobox controls in the Controls toolbox and in the Forms
toolbar.

Select an out of the way column and create your list that you want to
drop-down..........then select the cell where you want the dropdown to
appear and then do Data > Validation > SettingsTab > Allow: choose "List" >
click on the Source: arrow and then highlight your prepared list, > then
click the arrow on the DataValidation pop-up > then be sure the
In-cellDropdown box is checked > OK..........
