Advanced Filter Problem with Unique List

Ok, I've used Advanced Filter to created a unique list of City names.
When the list is produced, the first city is always listed twice. The
rest of the cities are unique. Has anyone ever experience this
problem? I'm using Excel 2003. Please help !!!!

Re: Advanced Filter Problem with Unique List

    Hi

this normally happens when the column does not have a "heading" field, ie
City. If you add a heading field into your data does it now work?

    Julie,
Right before I read your message, I tried that and it worked! Thanks
    for the reply!!
This little bug should be documented somewhere in the help screen for
    advanced filter.
    Again, Thank You !!

--- i've put that in my feedback comment to MS in the "was this helpful" to
you area of help on filtering for unique records. if you are using a
version that allows for this then it might be an idea to also mention it to
    them.
