    Arrow Date Format Issue

Ok, I know what I need to do, but before I can do it.....even when I format all cells in a column to be 3/14 format, when you click a cell, it still shows 3/14/2005. I don't want it to show the year at all, but I still need it in Date format so I can do some drag-down autofilling series....how can I get rid of the year appendage?

    Re: Date Format Issue

Well, you always get the year (as well as the day) in a date. You can't
avoid it. Otherwise how would you expect excel to give the correct day after
2/28 unless it knows which year it is. When you click the cell, it will
    always show the entire value.

    Re: Date Format Issue

Sorry, I meant "(as well as the day and the month)" in the brackets.
