    Spreadsheet Don't save properly

    Hello,

I have a user who owns a big spreadsheet, which records all of our company
cars and their number plates etc. On occasions, something quite odd happens
to the spreadsheet when it's saved. For instance, recently a member of
staff was allocated a new car. His name was taken from the old car and put
against the new car. However, after saving and reopening the spreadsheet,
his name still appears on the the old vehicle.

Can anyone think why this may be happening?

To give you a bit more info, the O/S is W2K Pro SP4 with Excel 2000. The
document is saved on a shared network drive and is used by two users.

    Thanks in Advance

    Paul

    Hi Paul,

I am sure that this is not what you want to hear, but I am morally convinced
that this is not an O/S or Application problem, This happens because of bad
developer design, poor user training or user stupidity - I would bet your
    bank balance on it.

Poor design / user error -It was the gremlins night off!

    Norman

I thought someone may say that. I haven't been able to physically see this
    happen myself.
I guess I'll just have to go and call the user stupid!

    Thank though
