Extreme Slow respond time

We just install Office 2003 Prof and in Excel will opening 4 excel files
(saved in 2003 format) that are linked together and updating the data, the
respond time is very long compared with Excel 97. The CPU usage goes to 100%
and the sheet is frozen for about 10 sec. I did not have this problem in
Excel 97 ??

I tried to remove the automatic recla and the error monitor fonction without
any success.

Any solutions ?

housing your data in Excel is a total waste of time.


keep your data in ACCESS and make REPORTS instead of mixing your
numbers and logic
