    Triangle

    Hi, and thanks
in some cells I have a green triangle This means an error in the
formula right? the formula is in c9 I have
    =sum(b8:c8)/2 in b8 i have 50.46 c8 i have 43.72 and c9 comes out
with the correct answer 40.79 what gives? There is no error.

    Thanks Much

The green triangle does not necessarily mean an error, so "error in the
    formula right?" is not correct.

Could be just an inconsistent formula in the region.

If you look at Tools>Options>Error Checking you will see a list of options
that Excel looks at when assigning a green triangle.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I've always thought the feature should be called "anomaly reporting".
