Does anyone know the Excel limit on the # of worksheets/tabs allowed in a
workbook?
I have read that there are no limit on number of sheets in a workbook, but
you will get a memory problem with lots of sheets witch contain lots of
data. Maximum number of worksheets in a new workbook is 256, default is 3
(?) but you may change that.

Go to "Tools", then "Options", then look on the "General" tab.

In xl help type the word Specifications
from the xl specifications...
Sheets in a workbook Limited by available memory (default is 3 sheets)
