Shortcut to move to bottom (last) cell in a column

I am wondering if there is a shortcut that will bring me to the last cell in
a column. I tried <edit><go to><special><last cell> but it didn't work. I'm
dealing with a text document that is converted to Excel.

Have you tried Ctrl + down arrow?
