I wish to display numbers in engineering format (exponents * 3).

    I wish to display numbers in engineering format (exponents * 3).

    Just as some engineering calculators display number calculations using
    exponents that are multiples of 3, I would like to do the same in Excel. Then
    numbers come out a micro, nano, kilo, etc.

    You can display numbers in Engineering notation now:

    Format/Cells/Number/Custom ##0.###E+00
