    Toolbar button for superscript

In the past I could add superscript/subscript buttons to the formatting
toolbar through the customize toolbar command. The button was available by
right clicking on toolbar, click customise, select command tab, select
formatting - the button was here with bol, underline etc...
Since installing Excel 2002 I cannot find the button under any heading on
the command tab. Does anyone know a way to add the button?

I don't see that it was ever possible in Excel (and I went back to Excel
97), only in Word. But you could choose the very first button under the
command "Format", which would alleviate a step.

    Hope it helps!

    Hi (..please use a name...),
SuperSub, John Walkenbach, entry of superscripts and
subscripts as an alternative to selecting characters on the
address bar and use Format, cells, alignment.

To install a toolbar button to go with the macro see

You can probably copy the button from MS Word to the clipboard
and the during your customize in Excel paste button image.

Alternative: select the characters you want to format on the
formula bar, then use shortcut Ctrl+1 (number one) to get
    you to the format dialog.

For a list of keyboard shortcuts see
