    Showing only rows with data

This is a hard thing to explain, but I have been sent an excel document,
where the cells with data in come up as white and all other cells are grey.
I am not wanting to hide rows, but find out how this works.

What happens is if you type anything in the "grey" area, as soon as you
press enter, it incorporates your new data into the white area, so the grey
row that you entered data into automatically becomes white. From what I can
see, some how it "highlights" the first and last column with data in and then
the first and last row with data it. If you leave 5 rows blank and then
enter data, the 5 blank rows also become white, as it forms part of the
"range" of data as it were......

I am not sure if that makes sense.

Look forward to any input on this one.

    Thanks

    Maybe...
    View|Normal

I think you may be in View|Page break Preview mode.
