xp should allow home users to read excel

I have received an important document which contains an Excel spreadsheet.
As I am a home user I am unable to read it. Solution would be helpful.

"Voting" for a suggestion to which a solution already exists would seem to be
not only a waste of time, but a diversion of resources from problems which do
    not have a solution.

All you need to do is download the free Excel viewer from the Microsoft web
    site.

Are you saying home users can't use Excel? I wish MS remove the "This post
    is suggestion for Microsoft"
That's just marketing, they won't pay any attention to these especially
since 99% are already implemented or make no sense at all

    Peo

Many people are under the impression that Windows XP Professional OS includes
Office Applications while Windows XP Home OS does not.

They are not aware that no Windows OS ever included Office Applications..
