hyperlinks and plain text in same cell?

Is it possible to have plain text and a hyperlink in the same cell. If so,
    how does one accomplish it?

    Example:
(plain text might be key words for us) teaching and learning
(then a link to a web site) http://www.ncte.org/profdev/

Or does the content of the entire cell have to appear and become a hyperlink?

    Thanks.

Looks like it has to be an entire range (not partial) or a shape object.

I tried highlighting partial text in a cell and the Hyperlink button
became disabled. So it doesn't appear possible. Is there a reason you
can't put your key words in one column and the hyperlink in an adjacent
    column?

    You could cheat.

You could add a rectangle over the portion of the cell (make the borders
invisible) and assign a hyperlink to that rectangle.

You could even format the text under the rectangle so that it looks like a
    hyperlink (blue, underline, smaller??).
