splitting cells

I wonder if anyone can help with my problem. I have cell A1 which is a title box but i want to split boxes B1 C1 etc into 2. with a line going horizontally through the middle?

If I understand you correctly - you want to have A1 as one cell, and B1-IV1 as two rows?

If this is the case, it is easy to do by merging cells A1 & A2, and adjust the height of lines 1 & 2.
