Normal Chart From Pivot Table Data

Hi

Does anyone know if it is possible to create a normal chart based on the data in a pivot table (ie not the pivot chart that is brought up by default)?

Or any cunning ways round it?

I have a pivot table with various fields in the Page area that I would like the user to available to select from and have charts based on certain fields in the pivot table body that update automatically.

I do this routinely by creating helper columns a little to the right of the pivot table. You have to grab the data, but return blanks if a cell in the pivot displays the text "grand total" . Often I find it better to analyse the raw data via sumproduct functions, avoiding the need for a pivot table.
