    Basic Excel formula query

Hello All, after searching for ages about this topic I was wondering if someone could give me a formula for the following...

I have a table with 14 columns. Two of the columns are known as Release No. (which is a date, shown on Excel as e.g. Jan 07, Feb 07, Mar 07, but the value is 01/01/2007, 01/02/2007, 01/03/2007 etc) and also Process Area (which is a choice out of AMA, CROSS and more).

Basically Im trying to report on all the records that have Nov 06 as Release No. and a certain Process Area, for example AMA.

I used to know how to do this but haven't really used Excel for a few years now.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Dan

    Hi,

My recommendation is to use Data Filter AutoFilter ...

you will then pick whatever criteria for any of your headings ...

Thanks but that's not really what I'm looking for.

I need a forumla to calculate how many of my Records were proc area AMA and Release No. Nov.

So basically a COUNTIF on two conditions, but I cant work out the formula to do it.

    Ok then ...

Countif() cannot handle multiple conditions ...

but the sumproduct() function can ...

Could you upload your file in a zipped format, for a precise answer ...
