Protect Cells from Copy and Paste

I would like to have cells that data can be entered into by either choosing the data from a drop-down list or typing it in directly.

To protect the validation on the cells, I do not want people to be able to copy and paste their data into the cells as that will "over-write" the cell's validation settings.

Is that possible?

and Tools Protection Protect Sheet ...

I just tried that. Unfortunately, it does not allow staff to directly enter the data into the cells, they are forced to use the drop-down menu.

Other than that, it worked perfectly!!
