Disappearing data

I help maintain a Managed Technical Service, based on a Citrix platform and I have a user with a strange problem.

They claim to have entered data on a spreadsheet, saved and exited, and then upon re-opening later, the data is not there. They then reported an entire worksheet disappearing before their eyes.

Now, I'm pretty sure this is just user error, but they are absolutely adamant that it is not. So, for peace of mind, could anyone please advise me if they have encountered any such problem before, or is my user just useless?

No VBA, it's just a simple spreadsheet for storing info, don't think there're even any calculations on it.

It was one specific worksheet that disappeared, all others in the spreadsheet were intact.

I have the same problem!
Here's what happens. I enter data in the spreadsheet, generally using the Text wrap option. I pull the Formula bar down so I can see all the data I've typed into the cell (The default view in the formula bar is like the window in a tank turret. You can only see one line of text at a time).
Once the data has all been entered in the cell, if you drag the formula bar back to it's default position, ALL THE DATA IN THE SPREADSHEET disappears. I actually registered here to find out how to stop this. It's quite irritating.
The only way to recover the data is to use the undo button until it reappears, but this also erases any changes you made to the data in the cell so you have to start over.
