Typing and storing comments on dropdown selection

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i'm making a very basic phone call tracking sheet,

I need to use a dropdown box to list customers (stored on sheet 2) and open a text box to type comments

these comments will be stored on sheet 2 in rows next to the customer

when I choose the customer from the combo box, the last comment is bought up

    i.e.

    sheet 1

    CUSTOMER -------------
COMMENT (chosen from last column populated on sheet 2)

    Sheet 2

    CUSTOMER COMMENT1 COMMENT2..........COMMENTX .

    Dropdown isn't a problem,
bringing up a comment isnt a problem

but, insterting text and storing it in columns next to customer is

there's some beer money in it for someone :-)

    anything will do really!

I used VBA / macros to do something similar a few years ago, but i've not got that code now and no time to re-figure out how to do it

I don't mind what to try, if anyone has some pointers I can go from there
