Disappearing Comments!

Hi guys, I'm using MS Excel 2003 and have a significant amount of comments on my sheet. I've noticed that they are beginning to disappear which is a big problem!

I was wondering if there is a limitation to how many can be on a worksheet at any one time. Also to note, the shape I define the comments boundries also gets set back to the default occasionally. If anyone knows anything please give me a shout!
