What code do I need to save just a selected area of a spreadsheet rather
than all of it, much the same as printing a selected area?
I want to run this from a macro button which will be a 'Save As' option.

I would suggest that the save as button calls a routine which creates a new workbook into which you paste the previously selected area and then save.
