    averages....

I have two rows of data, (Row 1) is my data points, and (Row 2) is the percent of of the total data. I have the total figured out in (Column H). so, in (Row 2), want to take the value in the same column, but in (Row 1), and find its' average against (Column H, Row 1). I'm new to Excel, so if I'm not using the proper terms, I am sorry.

Thanks for any help you can give

I think you might need to explain it a little better, or upload a sample spreadsheet and add notes referring to what output you're looking for. Unless I'm missing something, you have something like the following:

    ..........A.....B....C....D....E....F.....G......H(total)
    Data...20...30...10..50..20...30...40....200
    Prct....10...15....5...25...10..15...20....100%

So you have each data point, and its percentage against the whole.. and now you're trying to figure out each point's average against the whole? That's where I'm lost. An average of one point of data is itself.

yes, you have it right, how do I get the prct to function the way you have it set up?

Also I really don't need to the 100% on the far right, I will know that it is 100%, but how can I get the percent sign in the other boxes to the left (Column A-G)

assuming your data is set up as above, use this formula for each data point:

    =A1/H1*100
