    scientific notation

I am making a worsheet and I keep getting an error in some sells and it says -1.42E-14. The formulas are correct and the error cells are surrounded by working cells with similar formulas drawn from same data. I am also wondering if cell location matters when i put another cell number into a new cell to display or use the solution. Does the second cell have to be to the right or below or anything so the cell it is drawing from can calculate first. Thanks

-1.42E-14 is not an error, it is a number in scientific notation
Position of cells relative to one another are unimportant BUT if you copy paste a formula it will adapt to the amount of rows and / or columns it is moved.
If you want to keep row and/or column references unchanged, precede them with the $ sign
fi $a4 if moved three rows down and two to the right will be $a7 and not c7 as would happen without the $ sign.
See absolute and relative references in XL Help
To insert $ easily select the reference and toggle with the f4 button until you get what you need
