    unremovable '(blank)s' in Pivot table

The word (blank) appears in a pivot of mine, although I've used 'Table options' -> 'for empty cells, show:' and selected the blank field.
Could it be the Greek version of Windows? However, I tried to correct this problem through an English version computer, but it persists.

    Some help please?

    Hey,

Blank, when found in a pivot dropdown means you originally referenced cells with no data in i.e. selecting a whole row rather than just the cells with data. The only way you can remove this from the menu is to reference cells that only contain data, but then you would have to manually update the table each time you added more.

    Dear friend,

thank you very much for replying. However, your answer didn't help me, partially because I think I didn't understand you and partially because I think you didn't understand me or I was not clear enough.

You mention the drop downs. But I'm talking about the data field. Please see attachment. In my own computer, with the english version and where I'm now, there is no problem with this (the attachment is deliberate) but with my job's PC, with the greek version, I cannot remove these ...stupid (empty)s! ... and my manager, who reads the report, complains! (with his own right, understand me ? : ( I tried to remove it by editing the file in an english version PC, but the problem persists.

What I've thought of right now is to make a conditional formatting with white font color wherever "(empty)" appears. Do you have any other idea though?

Thank you for your interest and all the best too

    Hi,

Select your data > Ctrl + H. Leave the find box blank and in the replace box enter a space (tab once)

Then go back to your pivot and refresh the pivot

Re: unremovable '(blank)s' in Pivot table

    Removing "(blank)" from Pivot...

Pivot, all we know, how to insert...

But an annoying thing is to remove "Blanks" in header column.

It's easy, Drop down the Header column filter and uncheck "(blank)".

    and done...

No... try to refresh Pivot and if there is a new item in Header column, it wont pop-up in table..
Reason is that when we uncheck "(blank)", it doesn't mean that we are not showing "(blanks)", it means we are showing Checked items and New item is not automatically checked on refresh.

    So simply do as follows:

    Drop down...
    Label Filter...
Choose "Does Not equal" = "(blank)"...
