    Formatting Phone numbers

Do you know of an easy formula or an Excel application or software than can format phone numbers for a voice broadcasting system?
    It must be able to:
    remove characters like
    (, ) , ., - ,/ +,\ and , and put the number 1 in front of all the numbers?

    Eg. (770)555-5992 or 770-555-5992

The outcome should be 17705555992 ….no brackets, no dashes, no commas, no periods, just straight numbers

The formula or program must be "dummy easy" to impliment.

Try something like this in B1,

="1"&SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(A1,"-",""),"(",""),")","") then drag down column B

If your number start in A1, copy the formula and place it in B1, then drag the formula down column B - see link on entering formula's

See how this goes, I may need to adjust for other characters
