I am attempting to assign a macro to a button. After adding the Forms Toolbar, the Button option doesn't work. I can click the button, but cannot drag it to the worksheet. I have had no luck finding a setting to make this work.

I am assuming the button is from the controls toolbox, not the forms toolbox
if this is the case then you need to open the forms toolbox and select design then you will be able to work with the button,
if this is not the case then then maybe your sheet is protected, therefore not being able to work with the button
