Counting Up Bolded Values

Heya Guys,

Maybe you can help me on this one as i am totally lost.

Ok the worksheet goes something like this

11/03/2006 Q1
11/03/2006 Q1
11/03/2006 Q2
11/03/2006 Q2
11/03/2006 Q2
11/03/2006 Q2
11/03/2006 Q3
11/03/2006 Q4
11/03/2006 Q4
11/03/2006 Q5
11/03/2006 Q5
11/03/2006 Q5
11/03/2006 Q6
11/03/2006 Q7

Ok the Q? is added by me manually. But i need some kind of formula that can add the Q and increment of number everytime the text goes bold and unbold since there are around 25000 lines to go through :D.

You can't use a formula to test the font style of a cell, you need to use vba code. The following code does this, but makes some assumptions not knowing the layout of your data:

This assumes your data starts in row 1, column A containing the bold/unbold data and column B containing Q#. If your data starts elsewhere, or in another row, you'll have to adjust some values accordingly. As an example, if your data started in row 2, columns C and D, it would look like:
