Using pivot table to obtain total manhours for each NDI technique, for each person

    Good Day,

Can anyone help me with my query? I have a set of data that looks like the attached. I'm trying to obtain the manhours for each technique for each person , from the data, using Pivot Table. The problem with the data is that each task can be performed by more than one person, typically two or three per task, and the way that the data is recorded (under three seperate columns) makes it impossible to see the required information at one glance using pivot table.

My best attempt so far is to make three different pivot tables from the same data, then sort by name, and then manually add up the manhours for each technique. Although it works, it is still quite tedious.

Can anyone help me with my problem? Is there a better way to solve this problem in excel?

    Thanks!!

    Ethan
