    change fill colour row when specific text entered

    e.g. I type "FD" in L5. A5 to O5 automatically goes lt grey and is bolded.


    VB is hard, isn't it! I've just started. I wonder if the textbooks are good...

    FYI....

    You don't need VBA for that... Excel's Conditional Formatting can do that.

    not for adjacent cells it doesn't. when i enter particular value in one cell i want whole row to change colour.

    Hi,

    As mentioned by NBVC CF does work

    Select Columns A to O then

    Format > Conditional Formatting

    then Enter

    =$F1="FD"

    IF FD in and row in Col F then that line will be highlighted
