    Excel shortcut for highlighting data

    Hi

Is there a shortcut in excel for the following?

I am highlighting rows is there any button that you can press so that excel automatically finds the last row on the spreadsheet instead of dragging cells all the way down to the end??

    Help much appreciated!

    L

Select the 1st cell. Hold shift, and tap "END" then the "cursor down" key.
    Rule 1: Never merge cells
    Rule 2: See rule 1

Sweep that works for a single column but to select a whole range Ctrl+Shift+End

To find last used cell in current column Ctrl+CursorDown hit Cursor Down again for next available cell.
Not all forums are the same - seek and you shall find

I use ctrl shift and then arrow down or arrow across it finds the last value in that row / column and marks the lot
