Display a list without scrolling. (Floating textbox?)

I am trying to devise a queue type list for a friend of mine, and I have hit a snag. Basically, he would like to have a setup where he adds names of people into a list as they come into his shop. He would like these names addes to a list until the are assigned a representative. The setup will be a lot like what is found in many service shops now (IPOD store, cell phone stores, etc).

I have devised a spreadsheet that can handle this request. However, I need to somehow keep the queue list visible even if the user scrolls down. In a sense, I need a function similar to "Freeze Panes", except, I need to freeze half of my worksheet.

I am attaching a sample of what I have so far, with some data in it to give you guys an idea of what I need. If anyone has any suggestions, I would be very appreciative. Also, if excel is not the best program for this, and if anyone knows of a program that can handle my needs better, please feel free to recommend it.

One alternative is to put the queue and the task list on separate sheets, open separate windows for each sheet and tile the windows vertically.

    ProtonLeah:

Thanks for the advice. I have considered doing it this way, but I'd prefer to have it one sheet if possible. The end user is not entirely computer literate, and I'm sure he will mess up anything harder than opening a file.

I'm pretty sure my needs can be met using a textbox; unfortunately, I'm not very strong with VBA.
