Getting rid of Enable/Disable Macro prompt on launch

How can I get rid of the enable/disable macro messagebox when opening a file? and let it automatically choose to enable macro?

I have 2 excel files, File A need to be opened at all time so that the index and lookup formulas will work in File B. How can I automatically hide File A when opening File B?

    thank you

    Hi Vicky,

To enable macros permanently click Tools, Macro, Security and Low - this will open all Excel files with no nag! It does say that it is not recommended, but you're highly unlikely to receive dodgy files - unless you download them from dodgy sites on the internet (not sites like this one).

You can't hide the other file - spreadsheets with external work without the data file being open unless they contain thousands of external links. Is it possible to reduce the external links?

    All the best,

    Roly
