Stop text overflow into next cells?

I would like to add comments into cells but these overflow into the next cell making it difficult to view. Is it possible to limit each cell to only show what fits in that cell on the sheet unless I select it? That way I could enter long comments but only see the full text when I select that individual cell.

You can either double click the right side of the column (at the top next to the letter) the cell is in or you can wrap the text.

To wrap the text

Right click cell in question
Click Format Cells in the dropdown
Click on the alignment tab
Under Text Control put a check mark in the box to the left of Wrap Text
Click OK
