Talking 'Enable Macros' message with no macros

When you open an excel workbook that has a macro, a message box appears asking if you want to Enable or Disable the macros. If you take a workbook with macros and delete all macros, save the file, close it, then open it again, the Enable/Disable message still appears. Is there some way of preventing this message box from showing up on the screen once all macros have been deleted? The version of Excel that I am working on is Excel 2000.

    Good afternoon nebb

This message doesn't actually mean there are macros - it means there is an empty module there. Go into the VBE environmnet (Alt + F11) and delete the empty modules.

That will stop the message appearing.
