add exra text to cells

Hi

I have a coloum of 300 cells all with image name in them. As they are images i would like to add .jpg after each of there names

Is this possible in excel with out manually editing each cell

The easiest way is by adding a formula in the next column to concatenate the 2 and then you can copy the new column over the old....

so if your first string is in A1, then in B1 enter formula: =A1&".jpg" and copy down the 300 rows.

Then copy this new range and go to A1. Select Edit|Paste Special and choose Values.... click Ok.

Now you can delete column B.
