Producing spreadsheet with full listing of numbers

Hi All

Maybe someone can give me a quick hint as to how i do something in excel (I thought this was a good place to start!)

I have to produce a spreadsheet which just has column after column of numbers from 000001 - 100000. I need to have all the zeros in front of the numbers as well but obviously when i put them it it just converts ti back to single digits and if i convert it to text, it then doesn't work if i try to use formulae to make things easier.

Can anyone help?

You can set the cell format to display the zeros. Select the column, right click and select Format Cells, Number. Click on Custom and you will see in the Type field 0.00. Insert as many zeros at the front as you need - e.g., 00000.00.
