live spreadsheet as your desktop wall paper

Hello not sure if what I am trying to do is possible but I thought this is the best place to ask,
What I would like to do is have a section of one of my spreadsheets to show up on my desk top .
I has all the days averages at the moment I have to keep checking back and it would be nice to have it on my desk top. Is it possible not sure but I am hoping someone on here has the answer .
Dose not need to be the whole desktop a small box would do as long as the figures are visible

Set live spreadsheet as your desktop wall paper

You should be able to do this by choosing File_Save as Web Page...
Then you can choose to save the entire workbook or the sheet also check the add interactivity box i you need to,then click Publish, then click on the auto Re-publish every time this workbook is saved box, then click Publish, then choose the name for the file and it should then save as a .htm file. The next step is to go to your desktop and right click on it and select Active Desktop, then Customize My Desktop and you should be in the Web tab of the Display Properites box, firstly check the Show Web content on my Active Desktop box, then click New..., then click Browse... and select HTML documents in the Files of type:dropdown then locate your saved web page select it, then click Open, then OK, Then OK and it should show up in a small box on your desktop, you also should be able to see when any changes are made and make changes to it if you need to, when you want to see any changes just right click on the speadsheet and select refresh. That is the extent of my knowledge. Hope it helps you out, Sestrainer!!!

Can't you just have Excel open and any other program you are using and just use either Alt+Tab or just click on the Excel bar at the bottom of the screen to bring it to the front?
