Track Users accessing Spreadsheet

Is there an easy way to track the people that are using a spreadsheet? We have a spreadsheet that we use and we want to see if anyone is actually accessing the document. If so is there a way to track the date/time they accessed the spreadsheet and keep a running tally of the accesses? Maybe in a work sheet within the workbook?
