Hiya guys! Really having a tough time trying to solve this problem.I'm trying to create a so-called search engine on excel for my own project. I have tried using all kinds of formula be it vlookup.hlookupand even visual basics but still i'm lost.For e.g. let say i create a data for John at sheet 1 and at sheet 2 when i input the name John i could see all the data that i create for John on sheet 1.Any help will be very much appreciated!!!!

I didn't have an attachment right now because i save it onto pc at my working place.Let me give you an example so that at least you have a clearer picture:
On Sheet 1
A B
Name:John D.OB.:18.05.1975
Name:Anna D.OB.:15.06.1980
On Sheet 2 if i input John's name or Anna it would automatically input their date of birth Hope i can make things much clearer.Yeap i manage to get it using vlookup but it is not what i really want.Any other method or alternative

What alternative do you want exactly? I may provide some other ways to do it but perhaps its not what you need.
