count the number of recurrences of numbers

Hello,

I need your help again please. I have a column of numbers ranging from 1 to 300, and about 1000 rows long. Is there a way to get excel to count the number of recurrences of each number, and sort them into something like a tally chart?

if the numbers are in column A, and in b1:b300 you put the numbers 1,2,3....

in cell c1 put

countif(a:a,b1) and copy it down

Is that what you want
