    Question in creating columns from a large list

    I have a list of thousands of addresses

    when I copy and paste into excel it puts these three things into one column

    example:

    a1: (#1 Auto Body 134 Pulaski Street Dunellen NJ 08812)

    is there anyway to seperate those 3 things(company name, street name, city state zip) on the entire list into 3 seperate columns without having to do it for each individual row?

    Hello Rdubya,

    You fail to mention where this data is being copied from. Is it a flat file generated by some other application? How are the data fields delimited? Spaces? Tabs? Preset character widths? Also will you be manually copying the information or do you want to automate it?
