    Sorting in Custom Views

I have a worksheet that I want to be able to print in two separate ways. The first way is the default view--the complete worksheet sorted ascending on Column A. The second way is with multiple discontinuous columns hidden, and sorted ascending by date in column J.

I have set up a custom view on my worksheet, but although the Custom View screen says that it retains filtering data, it doesn't retain the "Sort Ascending" that I chose in the AutoFilter drop down menu. In searching the forums, I have only found that one other person has mentioned this, and the response required him writing a macro. The problem that I have is that I am on a company network, and I want all users to be able to access this custom view, and our IT department has disabled macros on all systems (to avoid spyware, etc.).

Is there a way to save the "Sort Ascending" in my custom view as well, or must I always remember to sort it?

Also, in a connected question, which seems REALLY basic, but I can't seem to figure it out anyway, how do I view the default entire worksheet without the Custom View settings? At this point, I have created a second Custom View called "Original Worksheet", but unfortunately then I run back into the sorting issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have attached JPGs of each of the worksheets as I would like them to be...(why doesn't this forum allow us to attach Excel files???)

    Hello magerber:

I've attached an Excel file that should help you out.
